The value transfer from Europe´s citizens to the big tech companies

The Internet has had a major impact on the economy and society, expanding since its commercialization in the mid-1990s. The current Internet ecosystem is, however, heavily imbalanced as a result of decisions made in the early days and the market evolution. To address this imbalance and to lay the foundation for the next stage of the Internet for citizens benefit, it will be necessary to adopt a fairer and more sustainable new model.
